COLLEGE DAY 2K24

The 18th College Day celebration at PTM College of Education, Maruthoorkonam, was successfully held on Friday, August 9, 2024, in the Dr. C.P. Sreekandan Nair Memorial Hall. The event began promptly at 10:00 AM, with a warm welcome to the attendees by the college principal, Dr. Anu Krishnan R.

The highlight of the event was the presence of the esteemed Chief Guest, Gireesh Puliyoor, a renowned poet, lyricist, and commentator. In his keynote address, he shared inspiring insights about the significance of education and the role of creativity in teaching. His speech was well-received and left a lasting impression on both students and faculty members.

The day was filled with various cultural performances by students, showcasing their talents in music, dance, and drama. These performances reflected the diverse skills and creativity of the student body, adding vibrancy to the event. Awards were also distributed to students who had excelled in academics, co-curricular activities, and sports over the past year, recognizing their hard work and dedication.

The Manager, Mr. Abhilash D.S., and the Convenor, Smt. Jayashree S.O., played key roles in ensuring the smooth execution of the program. Their efforts, along with the collaboration of the entire staff, were instrumental in making the College Day a memorable event. The 18th College Day was a resounding success, fostering a sense of unity and pride among the college community.

On the 18th College Day celebration at PTM College of Education, I was honored to be selected as the Optional Star of the English Department. This recognition was particularly meaningful to me, as it reflected the hard work, dedication, and passion I have invested in my studies. The moment when I was called to the stage to receive the award was truly unforgettable, and it filled me with immense pride and gratitude. Being acknowledged in front of my peers and faculty members has further motivated me to continue striving for excellence in my academic journey.
