WEEK 7- TEACHING PRACTICE


 WEEK - 7

On 16/01/2024 the class starts usually at 9:30 am and ends at 3:30 pm with national anthem. Today I had 2 periods 9A and 9B respectively. On the third period I went to 6A for substitution and asked them to complete their notes. For 9th classes I gave them balance notes.

On 17/01/2024 I reached the school at 9:20 am . As usual I had 2 periods for 9A and 9B. I gave them balance notes gave some activities. On the sixth period I had a substitution class for fifth standard, I managed the class .

On 18/01/2024 , I reached the school at 9:15 am and was assigned with the discipline duty. Today my optional teacher, Mrs .Bindya came for observation. After completing the class, teacher gave me feedback for my class . She said about my improvements and positives.

On 19/01/2024 the class began at 10:00 am . Today I had 2 periods 8A and 8B . Today was a fresh class for 8th standard and after an informal session, I started a new poem, "My Grandmother's House". Pupil listened carefully and responded to my questions.

WORKSHOP

The Department of English at PTM College of Education, Trivandrum, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a workshop titled "Creative Classroom: English Teaching Aids" on May 24, 2024. This event, part of the College-based Practical Activities (CPA) Phase 3 initiative, aimed to enhance the practical teaching skills of aspiring educators through the use of innovative teaching aids. The workshop was held at CP Sreekantan Nair Memorial Hall, P.T.M.C.E, starting at 10 AM. It featured Mr. Abhilash R., a highly experienced Higher Secondary School Teacher (HSST) of English from Govt. VHSS Aryanad, Thiruvananthapuram, as the resource person.
